Megan Remec

Megan Remec enters her second year at Broomfield Soccer Club in 2017 as the Girls High School Director.

In her first year with the club, Remec coached both the u16 Girls Prestige and u16 Girls Magista teams to state championships as Colorado State Cup and Presidents Cup Champions, respectively. The 2016-17 season also saw both teams win multiple tournament showcases and play in the Region IV Championships with 01G Magista finishing as Region IV Semifinalists -- the best finish ever by a BSC team at the Regional level -- and 01G Prestige ranked as high as #20 in the nation. Remec was named the 2016 Broomfield Coach of the Year.

In her position as Girls High School Director, Remec oversees the development of 22 teams and almost 400 players. In the fall of 2017, Broomfield Soccer Club placed 5 high school teams in state championship games, which was the highest number for any club in the state. The 01G Prestige repeated as Colorado State Cup Champions (u17) and 01G Magista finished as Colorado Presidents Cup Finalists (u17).

Remec brings seven years of collegiate experience to BSC.  She finished her third season as an assistant coach with Metropolitan State University of Denver (DII, Colorado) in 2015.  In her three seasons, Metro State had a combined record of 36-13-14 and qualified for the NCAA Tournament twice, including a Sweet Sixteen appearance.  In 2014, she helped the Roadrunners to their best season in six years, posting a 14-2-5 record and a #8 national ranking.  Remec also helped the team to strong classroom performances with at least a 3.0 team GPA every semester.  She spent the 2012 season at Elmhurst College (DIII, Illinois), helping Elmhurst to an 8-6-3 record, coaching the team's defenders and overseeing recruiting, scouting, film sessions, and alumni relations.  Prior to her time at Elmhurst, she served as a graduate assistant at Purdue University (DI, Indiana).  She spent three years with the Boilermakers under two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year, Robert Klatte.  Remec oversaw many different aspects of the program during her tenure and helped the team to a Big Ten Tournament Championship, two NCAA Tournament births, and 44-15-9 overall record.

She has been a state coach with both the Colorado and Illinois Olympic Development Programs.  Remec holds a USSF "B"  license and a NSCAA Goalkeeping II License. She earned two bachelor's degrees from Purdue in 2007 (graduating with honors) and her Master’s of Science in 2010. She is a native of Munster, Indiana.
