U8 to U9 & U10 to U11 Transition Meetings for Parents

Thanks to all the parents that were able to join BSC volunteers and board members for the U10 to U11 Transition Meeting on 5/4  and the U8 to U9 transition meeting on 5/25.  If you weren't able to join these meetings, or if you did and still have some questions, feel free to refer to the documents attached below.  As always, don't hesitate to contact your age group coordinator or leageue director if you're looking for advice.  Contact information can be found here.

Coach Equipment Drop Off Dates

Two equipmpent drop off dates have been established for coaches to drop off their equipment since the season is going a bit longer due to the crazy Spring weather.

All coaches must drop off their equipment at one of two equipment drop off sessions as follows: Sunday, May 23rd 3:00-5:00 PM or Friday, June 4th 4:00-6:00 PM at the Highland Park shed.

If you need to make arrangements to keep your quipment longer due to a late season tournament, notify Mike LeClare at operations@broomfieldsoccerclub.org.

The Club has been working on a strategic plan for the last several years. As we continue to execute on our strategy, we are asking for your help. During the last strategy session the board, staff, and key members of the club identified the need to create an executive leader position on our staff. Therefore, we are seeking to fill the position of executive director for the club. The best candidates we could receive would be those recommended by you, our members — you know our club, our priorities, and our values. Executive Director Job Description


This is a full-time, salaried position. The cash compensation will consist of a salary and a variable, performance-based component. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with demonstrated skills and experiences. This position will require the incumbent to perform duties outside the normal day-time work shift, to include evening and weekend commitments. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors as led by the President of the Board.


The Executive Director is responsible for:


  • Financial Accountability (Budget, P&L, Tax and Risk Management)
  • Supervision of club staff including training, performance reviews, hiring, and termination
  • Day-to-day operations of the club to include:
  • Player Registration and Fee Collection
  • Recreational Game and Referee Scheduling
  • Team Formation
  • Practice Scheduling
  • Field Scheduling
  • Facility Maintenance
  • Supervision of Staff
  • Fundraising
  • Participation and Implementation of Strategy and Policies Approved by the Board
  • Development and Implementation of Club Curriculum
  • Community Relations
  • Shootout Tournament
  • Risk Management – KidSafe program
  • Relationship with Colorado Youth Soccer
  • Communication with Members and Community
  • Execution of 501( c )(3) Policies and Compliance


Other duties as assigned Specific responsibilities:


  1. Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress;
  2. Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Board of Directors and staff, and carry out plans and policies authorized by the board;
  3. Promote active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of the organization's work;
  4. Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations; and
  5. Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.


In communications, the Executive Director will:


  1. See that the board is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization and all important factors influencing it;
  2. Publicize the activities of the organization, its programs and goals;
  3. Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations; and
  4. Represent the programs and point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public.


In relations with staff, the Executive Director will:


  1. Be responsible for the recruitment, employment, and release of all personnel, both paid staff and volunteers;
  2. Ensure that job descriptions are developed, that regular performance evaluations are performed, and that sound human resource practices are in place;
  3. See that an effective management team, with appropriate provision for succession, is in place;
  4. Encourage staff and volunteer development and education and assist program staff in relating their specialized work to the total program of the organization; and
  5. Maintain a climate that attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse staff of top-quality people.


In budget and finance, the Executive Director will:


  1. Be responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices;
  2. Work with the staff, Finance Committee, and the board in preparing a budget; see that the organization operates within budget guidelines;
  3. Ensure that adequate funds are available to permit the organization to carry out its work; and
  4. Jointly, with the President and Secretary of the Board of Directors, conduct official correspondence of the organization, and jointly, with designated officers, execute legal documents.

Game Reschedules from April 24th

We have a game re-schedule plan for the missed games from April 24th. All home Broomfield games will be made up according to these schedules ( Small Fry & Lower League). In an effort to ensure each player and team are able to play their games and we complete the season in a timely manner - we have secured fields on Friday night for Lower League and increased the game schedule, on Saturday, for Small Fry. For all teams U9 and up, please check with your head coach for reschedule details. If you have any immediate questions concerning this re-schedule please contact your League Director or Operations. Again, thank you for your patience with spring soccer in Colorado.

We are currently in the process of examining different opportunities to reschedule from last Saturday. As soon as a decision is made - we will contact all coaches. Thank you for your patience and understanding with Colorado's spring soccer.
