About BSC

Broomfield Soccer Club (including the U11+ Competitive program called Blast) is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation which provides recreational and competitive soccer programs for the boys and girls of Broomfield as well as those of surrounding communities. The Club provides for the administration of the programs as well as the recruitment of coaches, referees, and players. Most of BSC’s activities are managed by paid staff with strategic oversight provided by a Board of Directors elected from the Club’s membership.  College Preparation Program

At Broomfield Soccer Club, we know our players want to continue in the game after their youth career has ended. As such, the Club is committed to running a high quality college advisory service for our players.  Visit our College Preparation Program page for more details.

Fund Raising

We’ve identified numerous programs we believe will benefit our membership and strengthen our club; examples include ACL Injury Prevention, College Advisory, and on-field programs such as Goalkeeper Development and other game-specific training. We’ve initiated fundraising efforts designed to gather the necessary resources to help these programs flourish and become sustainable year after year. The BSC Values Triangle

The triangle is the perfect shape to represent the Values of Broomfield Soccer Club. Fundamentally, the shape represents ascension which is consistent with the drive to be the best at what we do. Each vertical side stands for an essential element of the club's mission and is based on the foundation of Community.  The true power of the triangle comes from the combination of its form and we believe the strength of BSC is well illustrated by the Values Triangle.

 Player Development Philosophy (PDP)

The most fundamental skill in soccer is individual mastery of the ball and the creativity that comes with it. This statement is the basis of Broomfield Soccer Club’s Player Development Philosophy. BSC will use this idea as a priority in training and games, especially in the early years. As this skill is mastered, the rest of the game becomes easier and more fun. There is no “magic dust” that coaches or parents can sprinkle on kids to turn them into great players. At BSC our emphasis is to develop a total player. We will not sacrifice a player’s development (long term) for the immediate gratification of a win (short term). It is the process of developing the player AND the individual that is MOST important. Volunteerism

The success of Broomfield Soccer Club is made possible by hundreds of volunteers; these caring people give their time to coach the players, form the teams, inform and educate coaches, parents and players, govern the club, organize one of the most successful tournaments in the state, as well as in many other ways. Most of the roles require only a little time during the course of the soccer season, but they make a big impact on the children of Broomfield and surrounding communities. BSC's designation as a community-based soccer club goes beyond its membership to include the community at large. We believe service to others is an essential part of player development as this builds character, team unity and awareness of our values; that’s why we’ve incorporated a community service program into the fabric of the club.
