Player Zone - Blast

Along with with the structured Camps and Seminars, we offer players individual training opportunities and challenges throughout the year. These take many different forms and are all optional or specific to certain aspects of the game. The list below includes some of the activities we are offering this year to everyone in the competitive program.

Striker Night (12+ Participants - U11+ Ages)

In the game there are many players who play Striker position, but there are very few goal scorers! This one hour session works on scoring technique and skill development by creating situations and repetitions to give each player the added time in front of goal. This builds their confidence, composure and experience in creating and finishing goal scoring opportunities.

Goalkeeper Training (12+ Participants - U11+ Ages)

Our club has access to Tom Noor, one of the best goalkeeper trainers in the state. Tom holds a USSF National A License and is also one of the few people in the country to have the USSF Goalkeeping License. When not coaching at Broomfield, Tom is the varsity coach at Lakewood High School. Each week all of the goalkeepers in our Club have a training session from Tom, which covers a set course throughout the year.

iSoccer Skills & Competition (12+ Participants - U11+ Ages)

TBD description.

Open Pick-up Games (22+ Participants - U10+ Ages)

Every Sunday we open up two fields at Highland Park for players to drop in and "just play" games. We have coaches at the fields to help referee and to offer individual training advice for those who want it. Equally though players are welcome to do their own thing. These games have proven to be very popular and are as close as we have managed to get to the days before computers and fears of going outside - when kids would regularly play soccer in their local parks. It is claimed that it takes 10,000 hours to master a sport or hobby. Without pickup games like this, it's unlikely many players will ever get close to that figure.
