Recreational

team Formation

The Broomfield Soccer Club recreational team formation policy is designed to assure that kids really enjoy their time playing and develop a love for the game of soccer. Teams are formed on a neighborhood/school based process when possible. The idea behind this is the kids will then get to play soccer in their free time with their friends in the neighborhood and from school, outside of Broomfield Soccer Club time. The more time they play, the better they get at the game! From year to year at the rec level, teams will stay together, unless a parent opts out, or a coach leaves. We do allow requests at the rec level (buddy and coach), and do our best to honor them, but there are no guarantees. If we are unable to honor a request, remember that they are kids and they will then have an opportunity to make new friends! We do not allow coaches to request players, which helps us in avoiding "stacked" teams. If you have any questions about team formation at the rec level, email Michael Green, Director Developmental Soccer, at michael.green@broomfieldsoccerclub.org.
