Current COVID Restrictions - Spring 2021

 A few points of emphasis;

  • Masks are not required during active participation at home fields, but are encouraged.
  • Keeping social distance while not actively participating is still required. The majority of cases that we’ve seen associated with soccer have not taken place on the field, but have happened due to car pools, hanging out together, etc.. Please just keep that in mind!
  • If you are sick in any way, if you have taken a COVID test and are awaiting results for any reason, or if you have been instructed to quarantine by school (players) or by work (coaches), DO NOT ATTEND practices or games until you have complete in full your quarantine period.

For those that have away games, there are still different restrictions in different counties, including some where wearing of masks during play is mandatory and spectators are not allowed. We completely understand that some are not comfortable doing so. If that is the case, please communicate this with your coach so that they can plan accordingly. Last fall, games that were unable to be rescheduled due to a team refusing to play went unreported in the standings. This spring, those may be counted as a forfeit. Coaches, before you go to an away game, be sure to review the away fields COVID restrictions document and communicate with the opposing coach to make sure nothing has changed (either more or less restrictive).

We are hoping that as the season goes on we can lift restrictions gradually, and that by the summer things are returning to a much more normal soccer world. Thank you all for your cooperation and understanding as we’ve navigated these challenging situations!
