Broomfield Soccer Club offers many avenues to help those who may need it cover the costs of playing soccer. We partner with various local groups for scholarships and offer in house financial aid as well. Continue reading below for more information;
Dominic DePalma Memorial Scholarship
Dominic DePalma, 2005B, was a dominating player with grit, who exploded in talent during his middle and high school years at Broomfield Soccer Club, under Coach Liam Sinclair. Dominic became a Colorado State Cup Champion and Most Valuable Player who was selected to represent Olympic Development Program and Colorado Select for three years. Dominic was killed by a drunk driver in July, 2022, when his entire community banded together to honor this fierce competitor and gifted athlete by supporting this scholarship in his name.
The
Dominic DePalma Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to “under the radar” middle & high school aged Colorado residents, U13 to U19, who seek to continue their soccer participation.
Scholarship application should list desired amount and its intended usage: club team fees, school team fees, travel expenses, uniform cost, etc. Scholarships are awarded annually in memory of Dominic DePalma, a BSC passionate player and empathic teammate, who knew leadership didn’t always come from captains and coaches. Leadership may come from the unrecognized teammate who is leading while standing by your side.
So: do you know a high school aged player who has GRIT? Maybe one who is deciding whether or not they want to keep playing, but you just know their entire heart still beats on the field.
Important dates:
Friday, May 1, 2026: Applications open. Requires three letters of reference, which may take time to gather.
Sunday, June7, 2026: Deadline for application submissions.

We continue to welcome donations to fund future scholarships and spread the messages about making safer choices about drunk and impaired driving.

Cara's Wave of Hope

Broomfield Soccer Club would like to thank Cara's Wave of Hope Foundation for their support of our club and players. Cara was a special player for our club helping to lead her team to a State Cup Championship in the fall of 2019. Sadly, in January 2020, Cara tragically passed in a car accident.
In her honor of her competitive spirit and humble, selfless, team-first attitude, Cara's Wave of Hope Foundation was formed. The Foundation provides athletic and college scholarships to youth who best exemplify Cara’s drive, competitiveness, and humility in the pursuit of both participation in organized sports and obtaining an education to understand and solve environmental issues.
This fall Cara's Wave of Hope Foundation awarded The Cara Calitre Athletic Scholarship to a talented BSC player who deserved the opportunity to pursue her dream of playing soccer in college while obtaining an education. So far in 2024 Cara's Wave of Hope has awarded over $12,000 in scholarships to deserving students and athletes.
We ask that you support this wonderful Foundation. Cara’s 4th Annual Leftover Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run / 2K Walk will be held at 9AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Boulder High School's Recht Field. All proceeds go directly towards scholarships. They offer both reduced student registration as well as team discounts. If you travel that weekend you can buy raffle tickets online for a chance to win some fantastic prizes.
